DIAPHANOUS
The project required that the word diaphanous be represented using a 3d design. By definition, diaphanous is light, delicate, and translucent. I took these values and tried to use them both literally, and metaphorically. Materials with translucent properties were used. Light was also used to pass through the materials to create the overall image, depth, and mood. The main character that is depicted is shown to be wearing an article of clothing resembling something that is shear and light. The scene was designed to show a single being, alone, surrounded by darkness, playing off the idea of being trapped, overwhelmed – delicate.
